Alexa & Lorwis

Our story began in November 2021 in the United States, where two people from different parts of the world lived just a few streets away from each other.

A little help from our host mothers was needed for us to meet: thanks to them, we got to know each other one evening. We talked, danced, laughed, and had a wonderful time. What started as a friendship soon turned into something more. Through shared activities, dinners, trips, and countless conversations, we slowly realized that perhaps there was more between us than an international friendship.

In January 2022, Lorwis came up with a special offer: what would Alexa think about a “Latino Boyfriend Package”? The package came with Latin temperament, a completely new culture, and a Colombian partner. Alexa decided: why not give it a try? Little did we know that the offer came with a long-term subscription, or exactly where this journey would lead us—especially since distance would soon become part of our story.

From the United States to Colombia, and from Asia to Germany, our relationship crossed borders, time zones, and more than a few challenges. We got to know each other’s cultures, met the people who matter most to us, and learned that understanding each other sometimes means accepting and appreciating our differences.

In December 2023, during a visit to Germany, Lorwis proposed to Alexa. When they arrived home from the airport, Alexa was welcomed by a decorated house, our song, and a huge “Marry Me” sign. The surprise was perfect, marking the beginning of another unforgettable chapter in our story. A few months later, in September 2024, we finally began our life together under one roof.

Since then, we have been learning what it means to build a life together: sharing the little joys and challenges of everyday life, navigating the maze of European bureaucracy, and experiencing travels, new beginnings, and life’s challenges side by side. Through the beautiful moments as well as the more difficult times, we continue moving forward, choosing each other again and again.

And now, as we reach another milestone in our lifelong adventure, we are ready to celebrate our love together with the people we love most.
